1729-1748 Stafford County, Virginia Will Book M; [Antient Press]; Page 362-363 In Name of God Amen I JOHN WAUGH of County of Stafford in Parish of Overwharton being Sick do make this my Last will and Testament in manner as followeth Vizt First I give my soul to god, next I leave my body to earth.
Item I give unto JOHN AND THOMAS MONK all Mv land in Prince William County on the branches and run of Popeshead and Johnemore to them and their heirs to be Equally devided between them and heirs of their bodies lawfully begotten and for want of such heirs I lease it to PRISCILLA MONK and heirs of her body.
Item I give unto Prissilla Monk all that land on South side of Occoquon at the Fork of her and heirs and for want of such heirs I leave to John and Thomas Monk to be equally divided between them to their heirs.
Item I give unto MARY WAUGH LUNSFORD all my land adjoining to the Glebe between Potomack and Accokeek Runs to her and her heirs and for want of heirs I leave it to PRISCILLA HAY and her heirs.
Item my desire is that what little Personal Estate it hath pleased almighty to bestow upon me I leave it to be kept together for the support of the three children John, Thomas and Priscilla, Supposing they all continue together Likewise all my Rents to be in the same manner disposed of only 500 pounds of Tobacco to be paid out of my rents towards the support of MARY WAUCH LUNSFORD for five years, and after the 5th year 1000 pounds of Tobacco yearly tell she has got the Land left her in my will in possession.
Item I give unto SARAH CHADWELL daughter of GEORGE CHADWELL if the said George should have no son but if he have a son then to his son 2000 pounds of Tobacco and Five pounds current money to be paid when she or he arrive to the age of 21 years. And likewise to BRYANT CHADWELL Son of WM. CHADWELL the same sum of money and tobacco when he comes to age of 21 years.
Item I give unto WILLIAM CHADWELL Son of Bryant Chadwell 2000 pounds of Tobacco and five pounds current to money to be paid unto him when he arrives to 21 years of age.
Item I give unto MEALY WHITECOTTEN Son of SARAH WHITE COTTEN 2000 pounds of Tobacco and Five pounds current money to be paid when he shall arrive to age of 21 years.
Item I give unto THOMAS CONWAY 450 pounds of Tobacco to be paid in June in the year 1744.
Item it is my desire that ELISABETH MONK Mother of JOHN, THOMAS and PRISSILLA MONK stay with them and have the looking after and bringing them up during the time her good behaviour and unmarried if she misbehave or marry, it is my desire she stay no longer.
Item I do constitute WILLIAM MOUNTJOY and Elizabeth Monk my whole and sole Executors of this my Last Will .. this Sixth day
