Jan 29, 1756 from Robert Cato, tailor, of CC, to Thomas Hanson (Henson) Marshall Allison Foard (Ford), and Josiah Langham, planters of CC, for 8000 lbs of crop tobacco and 6 , the following goods & chattels, viz, 3 servant men called James Hair, Samuel Batman, Edward Merryday, 1 roan stallion, 2 geldings, 2 mares, 1 "heir: colt, 7 cattle, 16 hogs, 2 feather beds and furniture, large desk, 1 large ditto. If, however, sd Cato makes his personal appearance on the 2nd Tuesday in Mar next at the Court in Porttobacco, then this indenture becomes void. Signed - Robert (X his mark) Cato.
