      George Clements' first account. May 16, 1778. The account of John Clements, administrator of George Clements, late of CC, decd.
      Debts include: the inventory of the decd's estate, exhibited into Orphan Court on Aug 19, 1777, amounting to 770 19 shillings 1 pence; tobacco, Indian corn, beans, fodder sold to Doctor Gustavus Brown; money recd of Richard Edlin for Edward Edlin; money recd of Thomas Smallwood, of Leonard Green's estate; 3 barrels of corn now in the hands of the executrix of Benja Smith. The whole amount: 1169 5 shillings 4-1/2 pence.
      Disbursements went to: Craik and Jenifer; Doctor Gustavus Brown as per account proved and for medicine for the decd's family until Dec 25 from the time of his death; Doctor Walter Jenifer; Sarah Wright, midwife, for laying one of the decd's Negroes after his death; Bennet Hanson Clements; Charles Clements; Barns and Ridgate per bond proved, dated Jan 29, 1777; Walter Hanson, Register. Negro Clem, appraised at 65 and kept at the Hazard at the estate, by sickness and inward decay, was reduced, at the time the crop was making, to 20 Balance accountable: 991 11 shillings 4.75 pence.
      A further time prayed until Aug 20 next, to pass additional account, in that the tobacco made the year the decd died, is not ready.
