Oct 9, 1779 from Abednegoe Hyatt of Frederick County, farmer, to Benjamin Griffith of M, farmer, for 400, all that tract of land called Barbers Beginning, containing about 100 acres, as deed to the sd Hyatt will fully appear; and also all that part or parcel of land, being part of a tract called Gaither Forrest, both lying in M, and adjoining, on the waters of Snowdens River, containing and now laid out for about 100 acres. Signed Abednego Hyatt. Wit - Edwd Burgess*, George Cullom*. Catherine, wife of the afd Abednego, relinquished her right of dower to the within mentioned land. Recorded Feb 25, 1780.
