      Know all men by these presents that we Francis Simpson and Lydia Simpson his wife who was formerly Lydia Mills and Jane Simpson who was formerly Jane Mills of Jefferson County and sate of Kentucky and heirs at law of John Mills and Margaret Mills deceased late of Prince William County in the state of Virginia have made nominated, constituted and appointed and by these { } make nominate, constitute and appoint French L Simpson of the County of Spencer and John W Simpson of the County of Jefferson in the State of Kentucky { } lawful attorney for us and in our names for our use and benefit we ask demand { } for recover and receive of and from the executors of Administrators of the estate of John Mills deceased of Prince William County Virginia all such sum or sums of money property debts due of demands which are { } { } owing or coming to us as heirs at law of the said Margaret Mills decd and to have use and take all lawful ways and means on our names or otherwise for the recovery thereof by attachment, arrest, dis{ } or otherwise { } to compromise, arbitrate and agree for the same. and receipts aquittances or other sufficient is charged for the same. for us and in our names to make , seal and deliver and to do all lawful acts and things whatsoever concerning the premises as fully and in every respect as we our selves might or coud do were we personally present. hereby ratifying and conforming and by these presents allowing whatsoever our said attorney or either of them shall in our names lawfully do in and about the premises by virtue of these presents in witness whereof we Francis Simpson Lydia Simpson his wife formerly Lydia Mills and Jane Simpson formerly Jane Mills as aforesaid have hereunto set our hands affixed our seals this 5th day of August, Anno One Thousand and Eight Hundred and Fifty Six
