To son John Goldsmith, the land where I now live and that part tended by Joseph Dunbarr called Island Cutt.
To son Thomas Goldsmith, land occupied by William Walter.
All other lands to be divided by my three sons, John, Thomas and Notly.
That John and Thomas pay to son Notly 5000 pounds of crop tobacco and a suit of coarse broad cloth, at age 21.
My personal estate to be divided between my four children, Notley, Lidia, Ann and Elizabeth Goldsmith, reserving to my wife Jane Goldsmith as the law directs.

Will of Mary Hoskins, SMC, 1/10/1795-2/6/1797.
Daughter: Mary Goldsmith, a gray horse now in the possession of Notley Goldsmith; a bridle and saddle; a violet mantle; and a hat.
Daughter: Sarah Hayden, one black silk petticoat; one holland apron; and a pair of gloves.
Granddaughter: Mary Hayden, my other bed and furniture.
Friend: Reverend John Boarman, 45 shillings current money.
Daughters: Mary Goldsmith and Sarah Hayden, all of my wearing apparel and all of the new country cloth now by me, equally divided.
Granddaughters: Mary Hayden and Sarah Hayden, half of the residue of my personal estate.
Granddaughter: Rebecca Reeves Goldsmith, my best feather bed and furniture and the other half of the residue of my personal estate.
Son-in-law: Notley Goldsmith, the use of the plantation where I live until my three granddaughters before mentioned arrive at the age of 16 on the condition he pays at the rate of three pounds current money per annum for their education.
