      At the request of Theophilus Hanson the following Deed of Gift was recorded October 20, 1803
      I Susannah Ward in consideration of the love and affection which I bear unto my niece Ann Semmes Hanson as well as 5 shillings paid by Ann Semmes Hanson have made over the following negro slaves, horses, cattle, sheep, hogs, household and kitchen furniture to wit; negroes Robin (56 yrs.), Milly (16 yrs.) and Sarah (50 yrs.), 2 sorrel mares, 1 dark bay horse, 8 head of cattle, 1 yoke of broak steers, 9 head of sheep, 6 white and 3 black, 8 head of grown hogs, 3 feather beds, County Ticks and furniture, 3 bed steads, 3 bed hides ad 3 bed boards, 1 square walnut table, 1 large hair trunk, 1 small paper trunk, 1 ox cart, 8 flaged chairs, also all my kitchen furniture and plantation utensils. In witness I have hereunto set my hand and seal this October 19, 1803, Susannah Ward in the presence of and acknowledged before Gerrard Briscoe
