At the request of John Swain s/o Gabriel Swain the following Deed of Gift was recorded December 17, 1750; I Gabriel Swain for the fatherly love and affection which I do have and do bear unto my son John Swain as well as 5 shillings current money as also for divers other good causes and considerations me thereunto moving has given 4 cows and 2 yearlings, 2 horses, two pots, 1 skillet, 1 dish, 6 plates, a frying pan, 2 beds and furniture, a chest, cider cask, candlestick, cloaths, 3 hoes. Provided nevertheless that my son shall provide all necessities for me and my wife Mary Swain and permit me and my wife to live in the same household during our natural lives. Signed Gabriel Swain.
