this publication states that Robert was a s/o Thomas Allen d. 1733 in Charles County, Md.
however, Robert was still a minor in 1734 and could not have been the father of Reynolds Allen of Calvert co. Md who was born bef 1730.

Will of James Prather
In the name of God amen. July 15, 1756 by James Prather of Bedford County and colony of Virginia and son of Thomas Prather later that part of Prince Georges County in the province of Maryland which is now called Frederick County, deceased being very weak and low in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God. Therefore calling unto mind and mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all man do make and ordain this my last will and testament.
That is to say principally first of all to be buried in a decent Christian burial at the discretion of my father-in-law Robert Allen in my mother Joyce Allen and such were the estate I have any property to by the death of my father in other ways obtained I give demise and dispose of in the following manner and form;
Imprimis; I give and bequeath to my mother Joyce Allen and her heirs one third part of my property to what is due me from my father's estate except land
Item; I give and bequeath unto my sister Sarah Stone one third part of my property to what is due me by the death of my father Thomas Prather above mentioned
Item; it is my will that the other 3rd part of my estate be equally divided between my mothers 2 daughters Margaret Coleman and Mary Coleman.
