And whereupon sd John Atchison, by Thomas Clark, his atty, says that whereas the afd John, lately in Stafford County Court in Virginia, by petition and by the judgment of the same Court, recovered against the afd William Macdaniel, 800 lbs of tobacco for his damages, and 65 lbs of tobacco and 7 shillings & 6 pence gold of the value of 11 shillings and 3 pence for costs whereof sd William Macdaniel was convicted, as by the record of the same County of Stafford afd to wit in CC remaining, which same judgment in its full force remains, and not satisfied or revoked, and the same John Atchison, his execution of the judgment afd in form afd recovered has not yet obtained, by which action has accrued to the same John to have and require of the afd William Macdaniel the afd 800 lbs of tobacco and 65 Ibs of tobacco, and 7 shillings and 6 pence gold. But the afd William Macdaniel, although often thereunto required, the afd sums to the same John has not yet paid, but the same to him hitherto to pay has denied and still does deny, whereupon the same John says he is the worse, and has damage to the value of 1730 lbs of tobacco and 1 £2 shillings and 6 pence, and thereupon he brings suit.       And the afd William, by Henry Darnall, his atty, comes and prays licence to imparl until next Jun CC Court, at which Court, sd William, by his atty, prays further licence to imparl until next Aug CC Court, at which Court, sd William, by his atty, prays further licence to imparl until next Nov CC Court, at which Court, sd William, by his atty, prays further licence to imparl until next Mar CC Court. And now here, the sd John, by his atty, prays that the sd William to his declaration against him may answer. And sd William, by Henry Darnall, his atty, comes and nothing in bar of the action afd of the sd John does he say.
      Ordered that the sd John do recover against the sd William, his debt afd and his damages, to 236 lbs of tobacco. Memorandum William Brent Sp Bail.

      Lease. Mar 9, 1742/43 from Henry Moore & Sarah Moore of Charles County, planters, to John Atchison of Charles County, planter, for the rents and services on the part of sd John to be done [as per the conditions of this lease, which follow] and for divers other good causes, the lease of 100 acres, being part of a tract of land called Mores Rest. This lease started last Nov 10 and is for the term of 21 years, paying to sd Henry Moore yearly, the rent of 1600 lbs of tobacco in 2 hhds, and on failure to pay the rent, sd Henry may reenter the before demised premises, reserving to the sd Henry liberty of falling, sawing, & carting away any black walnut or locust from sd land & farther, sd Atchison agrees to leave the land in good, tenantable repair at the end of the lease.       At the request of John Lomax, the following lease was recorded on Nov 15, 1751.
      Nov 12, 1751 from Henry Moore of CC, planter, to John Lomax of CC, planter, the lease, during the natural life of sd John Lomax, of a certain tract of land in CC called Moors Rest, being 100 acres part of the afd tract containing about 200 acres, which sd Lomax now lives on, bounded by Cornwallises Neck line so up a valley between John Lomax's & John Atcheson's to the Main Road, containing 100 acres whereon sd Lomax now lives. Lomax may fell and use timber for the use of the plantation on the 200 acre tract called Moores Rest. Moore will not be debarred from cutting and using any timber on the 200 acre tract. The yearly rent is 650 lbs tobacco. Lomax will keep the plantation in good repair. Signed - Hen Moore. Wit - Rd Harrison, Jno Winter.
