KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that we JOHN CURTISS, JNO. VIVION & GARRETT MINOR of Middlesex County are bound unto our Sovereign Lady Ann in sume of Ten thousand pounds of good sweet scented Tobacco this 5th day of Aprill 1708. The Condition of this obligation is such that whereas John Curtis hath obtained a lycence to keep and ORDINARY at his house in URBANNA Now if said Jno. Curtis doth provide good and cleanly lodgeing and diett for travellers and Stableage provender and fodder or pasturage as the Season requires for their horses dureing the term of one whole year from day of the date hereof and shall not permitt any unlawfull gameing nor on the Sabbath day suffer any to tipple more than is necessary that then this obligation to be voyd otherwise to remaine

THIS INDENTURE made this second day of Aprill 1714 Between JNO. CURTIS of the County of Middlesex of one part and CHRISTOPHER ROBINSON and JOHN ROBINSON of same County Witnesselh that said John Curtis for sum of four thousand pounds of Tobacco doth sell unto said Christopher & John Robinson their heires forever one lott or halfe acre of land with the house thereon in Town of URBANNA lately in the occupation of the said John Curtis but .now in occupation of said Christopher and John Robinson

WILLIAM LAWSON
At a Court held for Middlesex County the 6th day of Aprill 1714
John Curtis came this day into Court and acknowledged lhe within Deed which is admitted to record. William Stanard Attorney for AVERIUA CURTIS the Wife of said John Curtis this day appeared in Court and relinquished all the said Averilla her claime of Dower in the land which is hereby certified.
