      John Degges' Will
      In the Name of God Amen, I John Degge of the County of Westmoreland being sick and weak but of sound mind do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following.
      Imprimis, I give to my brother Simon Degge’s son Isaac Degge all my pump tools and my family seal.
      The residue of my estate I give to my relation; James Degges of the county above mentioned.
      Tis my will and desire my estate may not be appraised.
      I appoint the aforesaid James Degges executor of this my will.
      In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 15th day of June 1775.

      IN THE NAME OF GOD Amen I DANIEL LOVELL being of perfect mind and memory if it should please God I should not live to return from BARBADOES, then I desire my Estate devided as followeth,
      Item. I give to my Loveing Brother, ROBT. LOVELL five Shillings Sterling.
      Item I give to my dear Sister, URSULA LOVELL, my two Negro boys,
      Item I give to my Brother, JAMES LOVELL, the rest of my goods with a power to receive my debts.

Anno 1734 This Last Will and Testament of DANIEL LOVELL, deced., was presented into Court by JAMES LOVELL, his Brother who made Oath thereto and being proved by JOHN DEGGE, one of the witnesses thereto is admitted to Record; And for that no Executor being named in the said Will, upon the mocon of the said JAMES LOVELL and his performing what is ususal in such cases, Certificate is granted him for obtaining Letters of Administration thereupon with the said Will annexed in due form

      IN THE NAME OF GOD Amen. I JOHN FINCH of the County of Westmorld. being sick & weak of body but of perfect sence and memory, thanks be to Alimighty God, do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and forme as followeth;
      First, and prensable I recommend my sole into the hands of Allmighty god that gave it hopeing through the merretts and mediation of my blessed Saviour Jesus Christ to have true remission of all my past sins, my body to my mother Earth to be decently buried by my Executors hereafter named and as for what worldly Estate it hath pleased God to bestoe upon me, I give and bequeath as followeth
      Item. I give to my Daughter, MARY FINCH, a Negro woman named Nan and Negro Child named Weeney;
      Item, I give to my Son, THOMAS FINCH, my Negro man named George and my two Draught Mares.
      Item. I give to my Son, RICHD: FINCH,my Negro woman named Pegg,
      Item. I give to my Son, BLAGDON FINCH, my Negro girle named Joney,
      Item. I give to my Son, THOMAS, all my Chaires and ( )

      Item. My Will and desire that my Land in Rappahannock which I bought of THOMAS QUISENBERRY be sold for money and the money to be lade out in Negros and devided among my three Sons and the rest of my personal Estate which is not yet disposed of to be equally devided between my Sons and my Daughter
      Item. My Will is that my Son, BLAGDON FINCH part of the personall Estate be for money except his Beds and the money to be lodged in JOHN ELLIOTTs hands till he shall come of age and my will and desire is that my Son, BLAGDON FINCH, should be bound out by my Executors to JOHN DEGGS till he comes to the age of twenty one years to learn the trade of a Ship Carpenter and in case the stl. DEGGS refuses to take him, then he is to be hound to some good trade, Far the true performance of this my Last Will and Testament so it well and truly performed do constitute and put my loving Frind, JOHN ELLIOTT, my Executor of this my Last Will and Testament turned over as Wittiness my
      hand and seal this 29. of December 1735

      This Last Will and Testament of JOHN FINCH, deceased, was presented into Court by JOHN ELLIOTT. Gentleman, his Executor, who made Oath thereto and being proved by the Oaths of ROBERT TOMKINS and YOUELL BARKER, witnesses thereto, is admitted to Record; And upon the mocon of the said Executor and his performing what is usual in such cases.
      Certificate is granted him for obtaining a Probate thereof in due form
