"John Lightfoote son of John Lightfoote and Elizabeth [Phillips] his wife, was christened the Ninth day of Deceāber 1627."
Capt John Lightfoot II, wife, sons John III and Phillip immigrated to Virginia from 1650-1670. Their mother returned to England by 1683 where she died.
John II Attended Lincoln College and Gray's Inn. Feb. 18, 1641-2, John Lightfoot, eldest son of John L., one of the fellowes of this Inn
St Sepulchre, Holborn, City of London, London, England: 28 Jan 1663/64. "Phillip Sonn to John Lightfoote Esqr. & Eliz his wife baptized"
Later he was a Captain of the British Royal Navy operating in the waters off Virginia. He died 1686 in Suriname, West Indies.
