      This Indenture made this thirty first Day of October one thousand Seven hundred and sixty five Between George Scott of Prince Georges County Sheriff of the one Part and John Breshears son of John of said county Planter of the other Part Whereas a Writ of fieri facias issued out of the Provincial Court directed to a certain Colmore Beans late sheriff of Prince Georges County commanding him that of the Lands and Tenements which wereof Samuel Breshears Senior late of Prince Georges County on the Eleventh Day of April seventeen hundred and thirty eight or at any Time since and of the Goods and Chattles of the said Samuel in his Bailiwick being he Should cause to be made the sum of two hundred Pounds Current lawfull money of the Province of Maryland and the same to render unto the Commissioners or Trustees for emitting Bills of Credit which writ was returnable to the second Tuesday of April seventeen hundred and fifty nine on which said second Tuesday of April the said Colmore Beans made return of the said writt that by virtue of the said writt he had made of the Lands and Tenements of the aforesaid Samuel at the Time of the said writt mentioned as p schedule thereunto annexed and that agreeable to an act of assembly made at September Session seventeen hundred and fifty five entituled an act directing the commissioners of the paper currency office & he [illegible] on the ninth day of the then next instant April expose the Lands and Tenements in the said schedule annexed to the highest Bidder and that there was no Purchaser thereof the Lands in which schedule [illegible] to wit a Parcell of Land being Part of the following Tracts viz Cuckolds, Delight Part of Gleannings, Leavings and Litchworth containing [illegible] in the whole one hundred and eighty four acres And whereas a writ of Venditioni Exponas afterwards to wit on the first Day of February Seventeen hundred and sixty five issued out of the said Provincial Court directed to George Scott Esq Sheriff of Prince Georges County commanding him to expose to sale the Lands aforesaid in the Schedule aforesaid annexed to the writ aforesaid which were Part of the several Tracts of Land which writ was returnable the Second Tuesday of the then next April on which said Second Tuesday of April the said George Scott made return of the said writ that he by virtue of the said writ to him Directed and in Pursuance of an act of assembly of this Province publickly advertised the aforesaid Lands and that the said John Breshears did buy the same as the highest Bidder for the sum of one hundred and sixty one Pounds ten shillings Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said George Scott for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and sixty one Pounds ten shillings current money in hand paid the Receipt whereof the said George Scott doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold and by these Presents doth grant bargain and sell unto him the said John Breshears & his heirs all that Parcell of Land being part of the several Tracts of Land called Cuckolds Delight Part of Gleaning Leavings and Letchworth lying situate & being in Prince Georges County aforesaid with the appurtenances containing one hundred ^and eighty four^ acres and all Buildings & Improvements whatsoever to the said Parcell of Land appertaining & belonging and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents
      isses & Profits and all the Right Title and Interest of the said George Scott to the said bargained & sold Premisses to have and to hold the said Parcell of Land with the appurtenances unto him the said John Breshears and his heirs to and for the use of him the said John Breshears & his heirs forever and for no other uses Intent or Purpose whatsoever In Witness whereof the Parties hereto have interchangeably set their hands and affixed their seals the Day and year above written

      hundred and sixty five Between John Breshears of Prince Georges County Planter of the one Part and the Honourable Benedict Calvert of said County Esquire of the other Part witnesseth that the said John Breshears for and in consideration of the sum of Eighty Pounds fifteen shillings current money in Hand paid by the said Benedict Calvert the Receipt whereof the said John Brashears doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained and sold and by these Presents doth give grant bargain and sell unto the said Benedict Calvert and his heirs an undivided moiety of all that Parcell of Land being part of the several Tracts of Cuckolds Delight Gleanings Leavings and Letchworth lying scituate and being in Prince Georges County which Moiety is next adjoining to Swansons Lott & included the dwelling house & plantation of s.d John Breashears which said Parcell of Land was sold upon a venditioni exponas to the said John Breshears containing one hundred and eighty four acres with the appurtenances and all Edifices Buildings and Improvements whatsoever to the hereby bargained and sold Premisses and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and profits thereof and all the Estate Right Title and Interest Use Trust Property Claim and Demand of him the said John Breshears to the said hereby bargained & sold undivided moiety of the Parcell of Land aforesaid to have and o hold the said undivided moiety to the said Benedict Calvert and his heirs and to and for the only proper use and Behoof of the said Benedict Calvert his heirs and assigns for ever and to and for no other use Intent or Purpose whatsoever In witness whereof the Parties hereto have interchangeably set their hands and affixed their seals the Day and year above written

      Indenture made December 27, 1766; John Brashears s/o John, planter of the one part and the Hon. Benedict Calvert, Esq. of the other part; whereas John Brashears heretofore on October 31, 1765 by deed (Liber D.D. No. folio 12 & 13) in consideration of 80 pounds 15 shillings current money of Maryland paid by Benedict Calvert and undivided moiety of a parcel of land containing 184 acres being part of three tracts; "Cuckholds Delight", "Gleanings" and "Leavings" adjoining to "Swansons Lott" and to include the dwelling house and plantation of the said John Brashears which is the same parcel of land sold upon Venditioni Exponas to the said John Brashears by George Scott sheriff of PGCo by the aforesaid deed. And whereas John Brashears and Benedict Calvert have made partition and division between them within the descriptions bounds lines courses and distances herein after mentioned and that the said John Brashears moiety is 90 acres and it is agreed between the parties to abide by the division. Signed John Brashears, Benedict Calvert in the presence of John Hepburn, James Gibbs and acknowledged before John Hepburn and at the same time Jemima Brashears wife of John Brashears and Elizabeth Calvert wife of Benedict Calvert relinquished their right to the rest and residue of the moiety.
