      Montgomery County Land Records, 1777-1781; Liber A1, Page 121. Dec 11, 1777 from Elisabeth Ferree in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, to George Graff of M, and Mary, his wife. Whereas Abraham Ferree, late of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and Elizabeth Ferree, his wife, did, in his lifetime, convey to sd George Graff and Mary, his wife, by deed dated about Feb 22, 1775, the 2 following tracts of land, to wit, all that tract of land called Senica Ford, containing 160 acres. Also all that part of a tract of land called Fortune, on the east side of the mouth of Senica Cr, bounded by a tract of land called Middle Plantation, containing about 50 acres, as by sd deed, recorded in the land records of Frederick County in Lib. BD No. 1 fol. 394:395:396:397:398:399: and 400. And whereas the sd deed was not ack. in Maryland, agreeable to the Acts of Assembly of that State, and sd Elizabeth Ferree wanting to correct sd error and more fully to confirm the afd lands to George Graff and Mary, his wife, has hereby agreed to give her a deed for that purpose. Now this deed witnesses that the sd Elizabeth Ferree, for the natural love she has for her son- in-law, George Graff, and her daughter, Mary Graff, and for their advancement in the world, and for 20 £Pennsylvania money, grants to sd George Graff and Mary, his wife, all those 2 before mentioned tracts and Mill and Mill Seat in M near the mouth of Senica, to wit, Senica Ford, containing about 160 acres, and also part of a tract of land called Fortune, agreeable to the meets and bounds above described, containing about 50 acres.       I, sd Elizabeth Ferree, hereby authorize Archd Orme, Thomas Beall, and James Orme of M, my true and lawful attys, to acknowledge the within deed in Maryland. Signed Dec 11, 1777 - Elisath Ferree. Wit - Everard Gruber, Will Deakins Jr.
      M, Mar 12, 1778. Witness William Deakins Jr made oath that he saw Elizabeth Ferree sign, seal, and deliver the afd deed and power of atty and receipt, and that he saw witness Gruber sign his name as a witness. Sworn before - Richard Thompson*, Walter Beall*.
