      KNOW ALL MEN by these prsents that I PHILLIP NORGATE and ELIZABETH my Wife for a valluable consideration in hand reced have sould to JAMES SAMFORD all our right & Interest of or: thirds which belongeth to us or either of us in the County of Rappae: both houses lands horses or tobacco with one hhd. of tobacco wch Capt. HULL is to pay for rent in the yeare 1681; & three Cowes two steers one yearling Bull & one heifer or what els not any thing excepted which belongs to us or either of us by right of her thirds in the County of Rappae: as aforesd, onely what appeares by Bill or Debts formerly contracted and further if the sd SAMFORD shall require it I will bring my Wife who with myself will give up our rights of the above said shall be required by Law & I ELIZABETH, formerly ye Relict of HEZEKIA TURNER, doe further Will and voluntary consent and that it is not drawn from me by force or compulsion but that it is done for a valuable consideration to us in hand paid and we doe by these prsents give to him the sd SAMFORD possession of all above mentioned & doe warrant him against all psons wtsoever which may heareafter make any legal! claime and I the abovesaid PIIILLIP NORGATE doe further oblidge myself or heires to pay unto the said SAMFORD or heires the just sum of Nine thousand pounds of tobacco in good Cask upon demand with conveniency in Farnham Pish in confirmation hereof we have sett our hands & fixed or: Seales this 21st of Decembr: 1680

      It is ordered that THOMAS HORNE be Constable in the place of WILLIAM JONES in the Lower Precincts of POTOMACK the said JONES bringing in a List of the men and armes to Capt. LEONARD HOWSON before sworne

      It is ordered that GEORGE COURTNELL be Constable in the place of THOMAS MILLER for CHERRY POINTE NECK and that he be sworne by the next Justice
