    • WILL OF GEORGE TUNBRIDGE , making Mary Browne his heiress. (Bk.2; p.144)
      In the name of God amen I George Tunbridge of Westmoreland County in Washington Parish in Virginia, being sick of body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to Almighty God doe make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. First and Principally I bequeath my Soul into the hands of Almighty God not Doubting, but trusting through the merits & passion of Jesus Christ my Savior and redeemer, I may receive forgiveness of all my sins and my body to the Earth to be buried decently & and Christianlike at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named. Item It is my will that my funeral charges be satisfied and paid.
      Item I give and bequeath unto Mary Browne the daughter of Original Browne and Jane his Wife all and every part and parcell of my Temporal Estate, both real and personal, to her and tier heirs forever.
      Item I will that an Inventory of the said Estate be taken, and that it remain in the hands of Mrs. Jane Browne, widow, till her Daughter Mary Browne shall arrive of age, or come to be married.
      Item I will that Mrs. Jane Browne be my whole and sole Rxecutrex of this my last Will and Testament revoking and annuling of all other Wills & Testaments before made by me. In witness whereof I have set my hand and Seale this 30th day of March 1698.

      Westmoreland S S At a Court held for said County the 27th day of April 1698 The within will was proved by the oaths of Nathaniel Pope & Morris Roberts and Probate granted to Jane Browne, Executrix therein named, and the will ordered to be recorded, it is also ordered that the said Jane Browne do return a full and perfect Inventory of the said decedents estate to the next court upon oath.
