  • Notes
    • Ralph and Dorothy Fehring at Rt. 1 Box 44 at Morrison, Ok 73061-9714 (580-724-3462), bought Charles Lewis Schlehuber homestead in 1956. Dorothy is related to Maude (daughter ?). She had 4 boys by her first marriage. Ralph is her second marriage.
Ralph said there are two graves in the North East corner of the homestead where 2 kids (stillborn) are buried. They are marked by flat unmarked stones.
As of January 9, 1998, the windmill is down, the house is still standing, the tool shed is still in good shape, the barn is still there. The tool shed was the original house and the main house was built in the time frame of 1912. The tool shed was skidded from the old entrance on top of hill down closer to the barn.
Near the tool shed are some cabbage roses are still growing. Dorothy has moved some of them up around their new house.
Ralph for a few years lived in the Schlehuber house after he purchased the farm. He put a new tin roof on the house. Later he built a new house on the property.
