    • A.L. Kent, came with his parents to Oklahoma Territory, near Fairland. He moved to the Morrison area, in the Cherokee Strip opening on September 16, 1893, taking a claim on a site, where he made his home till his death. He was a member of the Baptist Church at Morrison in his middle age. He married Sara Jane Colvin on June 28, 1885. Abe as he was familiarly known, farm was on the edge of town, to which he sold a tract of it to the town site when the town was started. Abe helped George William Schlehuber and Joe Schlehuber, get a job with Magnolia in Wewoka, Oklahoma.
