      Know all men by these presents that Thomas A. Marshall, and Wife Mildred F., Alexander Marshall and his wife Celia Anne Marshall, N.V. Marshall and wife Anne (Heyler) Marshall, Charles Clark, and wife Laura B. Clark, Susan Richards and Lewis Richards, Cynthia Taney, M. Taney, for and in consideration of the premises hereunafter mentioned do hereby bargain sell and convey to Napoleon V. Marshall his heirs and assigns forever the following described real estate to wit Lot No.4 of the Dower Tract set apart to Eveline Marshall widow of Sebastian Marshall Dec'd, and lying and being in Boone County Kentucky and particularly described as follows.

      Beginning at a stone corner of lot No 3 in said Sebastian Marshall's Dower tract thence South 18-1/2, East 13 poles to a stone a corner of Lot No. 5 Thence with a line of same South 88-1/2, East 31 poles to a corner of lot No. 5 Allocated to Alexander Marshall, thence North 2, East 12-18/100 poles to a corner of lot No. 3. Thence North 88-1/2 West 35-9/10 Poles to the beginning containing Two and 1/2 acres more or less.

      Together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging to have and to hold the same to the said to Napoleon V. Marshall his heirs and assigns forever the grantors his heirs and administrators and execution hereby conveying with the grantee his heirs and assigns that the title so conveyed is clear free and unencumbered and that they will warrant and defend the same against all legal claims whatsoever

      The consideration of this deed is that whereas Cynthia Taney, Susan Richards, Alonzo Marshall, N.V. Marshall, Alexander Marshall, Laura B. Clark, Thomas A. Marshall and John Marshall are the Sole surviving heir of Sebastian Marshall and his wife Evaline Marshall both Decd. and whereas all of said heirs are of age and have mutually agreed to divide said dower among themselves amicably and without interpretation to court according to a division and plat and survey made by William Fennill S.O. B. C. and. on August 23, 1882 and John Marshall having heretofore sold and conveyed his interest to and unto said Dower tract to Thomas A. Marshall as per Recorded deed there fore the grantees aforesaid have sold and conveyed the above described lot No. 4 to said grantee his heirs and assignees forever. Together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging to have and to hold the same to the said to Napoleon V. Marshall heirs and assigns forever the grantees their heirs executes and administrates hereby conveying with the grantee for heir and assigns that the lot No. 4 so conveyed is clear free and unencumbered and that will warrant and defend the same against all legal claim whatsoever.

      In witness whereof the said Thomas A. Marshall and wife Mildred F, Alexander Marshall and Celia Anne Marshall, N.V. Marshall Taney and wife Annie, Charles Clark and wife Laura B. Clark, Susan Richards and Lewis Richards, Cynthia Taney, M. Taney, have hereunto act their hand this 2nd day of January 1883.

      By virture of a Judgement and order of Sale of the Boone Circuit Court, renderd at the December term thereof 1901, in the above cause, I shall proceed to offer for sale at the courthouse door in Burlington, Boone County, Kentucky to the highest bidder at public sale on Monday the 3rd day of February 1902, at 1:00 pm or thereabout being Coiurnty Court day, upon a credit of 6 & 12 months the following described property.

      Tract 1; being on the waters of Gunpowder creek and bounded thus; beginning at a stone in N.B. Stephens line; thence with said line South 2-2/2 poles West 17-1/4 poles to a stone a corner of lot number 2, thence South 88-1/2 poles East 32 Poles to a stone in the dower; thence North 18-1/2 poles West 75-1/2 poles to a stone in N.B. Stephens lines, the place of beginning, containing 8-1/2 acrres, an being lot Noumber 3 in the division of the lands of Sebastian Marshall Decd.
