      Know all men by these presents that John Marshall of Boone County Ky for and in consideration of the conveyance of the other lands to him by Austin Marshall and wife Elizabeth Marshall of same county and state the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged bot hereby bargain sell and convey to the said Austin Marshall his heirs and assigns forever the following described real estate to wit; one undivided half interst in and the following two lots or parcels of land lying and being in Boone County Ky on the waters of Gunpowder Creek each being a portion of the land owned and occupied by James Marshall at time of his death. The first lot being that which was the undivided interest of America Clark in said lands and containing Twenty Acres more of less and being that which was conveyed to said John A Marshall by H.T.Synder by deed dated August 25th 1864 recorded in deed book 22 page 385 Boone County Court Records which see for more particular description; the second lot being that which was allotted to Marshall Holsclaw in the division of said lands containing 17 acres which was conveyed to said John A. Marshall by the Master commissioner of the Boone Circuit Court by deed dated April 25th 1855 and recorded in the Deed book 23 page 313. which see for description; together with all privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging.

      Know all men by these presents that William Holtzclaw and Axy Holsclaw his wife of the County of Boone and state of Kentucky in consideration of one thousand dollars, five hundred in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and the further sum of Five hundred dollars to be paid on the 25th day of December 1865 which said last payment is secured by a snote of even date herewith have granted bargained and sold unto James Marshall of the same county and state the following real estate to Wit; Situated in Boone County Kentucky on the waters of Gunpowder Creek being the interest deeded heretofore by James W. Marshall to Wm Holtzclaw by deed bearing date July 30 1864 and recorded in Deed Book No. 22 page 403 Boone county Court, together with all the previleges and appurtenances to the same belonging to have and to hold the same to the said James Marshall his heirs and assigns forever the grantors their heirs executors and administrators hereby conveying with the grantee his heirs and assigns that the title so conveyed is clear free and unincumbered and that they will warrant and defend the same against all claims whatsoever, In witness whereof the said Wm Holtzclaw and wife have hereunto set their hand this 30th day of November 1865.

Marshall of Boone County Kentucky in consideration of One thousand dollars, Five hundred of which is in hand paid receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and the further sum of Five hundred dollars is to be paid on the 25th day of Dec 1865 secured by note of even date herewith by Austin Marshall of the same county do here by bargina sell and convey to the said Austin Marshall his heirs and assings forever the following realestate to with; situate in Boone County Kentucky on the waters of Gunpowder creek being the interest heretofore conveyed by James W. Marshall to William Holtsclaw by deed bearing date July 30 1864 and recorded in deed bood No. 22 page 405 Boon county Court and againd deeded by William Holtsclaw and Axy his wife to James Marshall on Nov 30 1865 by deed of general warranty, together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging to have and to hold the same to the said Austin Marshall his heirs and assigns forever. The grantor for himself his heirs executors and administrators hereby covenanting with the grantee his heirs and assings that the title so conveyed is clear free and unincumbered and that he will warrant and defend the same against all claims whatsoever, In witness whereof the said James W. Marshall has hereunto set his hand this 30th day of November in the year 1865.
