      Died Nov. 16, 1918 "after several weeks['] illness of typhoid fever at the home of her sister, Mrs. Eliza Riddell, in Belleview," Boone County, Kentucky

      Mrs. Nancy L. Adams, daughter of Tudor P. and Caroline Marshall, was born Feb. 23rd, 1846[.] She was born and spent almost all her life in Boone county. She died Nov. 16, 1918, at the age of 72 years[,] eight months and twenty-three days. She made a profession of her faith in Christ as her personal Savior and united with Big Bone Baptist church in April, 1866. At the time of her death she was a member of the Belleview Baptist church. On November 21, 1866, she was married to T.C. Lewis, to this union was born one daughter, who departed this life in Dec.[,] 1894, leaving three children, Stella, Clyde T. and Stanley D. Barker. To these children their grandmother took the place of mother. All three remain to mourn the loss of the deceased, Mrs. Hubert Rouse, of Burlington; Clyde T. Barker, of Ohio; and Stanley D. Barker, the youngest grandson, is at present in France serving under the colors of Uncle Same. Mr. Lewis died Feb. 6th, 1870. She was married on March 24, 1892, to P.B. Adams, who died Feb. 23, 1913[.] She leaves to mourn her departure two brothers, Thomas and Waller Marshall, two sisters, Mrs. Eliza Riddell and Mrs. Harriet Stephens, three grandchildren and three great[-]grandchildren besides other relatives and a host of friends.

      Mrs. Nancy Adams Dead
      After several weeks['] illness of typhoid fever Mrs. Nancy Adams died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Eliza Riddell, in Belleview, last Friday morning. Mrs. Adams was a daughter of the late Tudor P. Marshall, and the grandmother of Mrs. Hubert Rouse, of Burlington, Clyde Barker, of St. Bernard, Ohio, and Stanley Barker, who is in the army. She is survived by two brothers and two sisters, W.H. Marshall, of Locust Grove neighborhood, and Mrs. Eliza Riddell, of Belleview, and Thomas Marshall and Mrs. Harriet Stephens, of Indiana.
      Mrs. Adams was born in the Locust Grove neighborhood Feb. 23, 1846, and was aged 72 years, eight months and 23 days at the time of her death. She spent her life in the neighborhood of her birth place or not many miles therefrom, and being a lady of very kindly disposition she made friends of all with whom she became acquainted. The interment took place at Belleview last Sunday after a brief service at the grave by Rev. C.E. Baker[,] pastor of Belleview Baptist church.
