Virlinda Harrison & Richard Harrison prefer to the Court here the following petition: Mar 13, 1738/9. To the Justices of CC Court. Whereas there has been for many years past a cleared bridle path from the now dwelling Plantation of the sd Virlinda Harrison to a tract formerly laid out called Durham Town, being a place well known to some of Your Worships, of trade and commerce and constant harbor for shipping, and the sd Path leading from the sd Town to another harbor for shipping called the long Wharf, and also convenient for persons intending over Nanjemy Cr, the sd Path or Road is now so obstructed and turned by fences of sundry persons, not regarding the convenient of their neighbors and other travellers, that renders it most tedious and troublesome to pass from one harbor to the other, or else where along the river.
