Prince George's County, Maryland Land Records 1790-1791; Liber JJ2 {Abstract by Mike Marshall}; Page 329. At the request of John Harris the following Deed was recorded November 15, 1790
Indenture made November 2, 1790; whereas Walter Dent, planter with his brothers Thomas Dent and Richard Dent were devised part of two tracts by the will of their father Peter Dent, deceased, called "Whitehaven" and "Addition to Whitehaven" and that on September 14, 1771 Walter Dent, Thomas Dent and Richard Dent did execute deeds of partition and that part confirmed to Walter Dent contains 339 acres and bounded by "Market Overton". Now this indenture witnesseth that Walter Dent in consideration of 678 pounds current money of Maryland paid by John Harris has sold his aforesaid part of "Whitehaven" and "Addition to Whitehaven". Signed Walter Dent in the presence of and acknowledged before T. Marshall, Wm Baker and at the same time Elizabeth Dent w/o Walter Dent relinquished her right of dower
