      CC. May 2, 1723. The deposition of Thoms Swann Sr of Pr. Geo: County, aged 49 years or thereabouts, concerning a bounded poplar, the 1st bound tree of a tract of land called Eaglton, lying in CC upon the branches of Piles Fresh. This deponent declares that his father (viz) Edwd Swann, "about 30 years last past, took this deponent into the woods & told him he would show him the 1st bound tree of his land, for none as yet know it but himself, & showed him a bounded poplar where this deponent now is standing, by a small branch near the head of the sd branch,'and told this deponent it was the first bounded tree of his and called Eaglton.
      The deposition of Samuel Swann, aged 47 years or thereabouts, concerning a bounded poplar, a bounded tree of a tract of land called Eaglton, lying in CC on some of the branches of Piles Fresh. This deponent declares, that about 30 years last past, this deponent was in they woods with his brother, Thomas Swann Sr, & he showed him a bouned poplar standing by the side of a small branch near the head,of sd branch (where this deponent now is) and told him it was one of the bound trees of their father's land & his father showed it to him. Also, one other tract of land in CC near Mattawoman Cr called Lumber Street, containing about 100 acres.       I, Samuel Love of CC, planter, for the love I have for my son, Charles Love, and for divers other good causes, I give Charles a certain tract of land whereon sd Charles now lives, it being part of a tract of land in CC near the easternmost side of the head of Wiccomico River otherwise called Allens Fresh, bounded by the westernmost part of the afd tract of land and commonly called Westwood Manner, containing and laid out for about 100 acres.       I, Saml Love of CC, planter, for the natural love I have for my son, Samuel Love, and also for divers other good causes, and for 5 shillings sterling, I have given my sd son a certain tract of land in CC adjoining my now dwelling plantation, being part of a tract of land called Eagleton which I purchased of James Swann, containing about 57 acres and 139 perches. I except and reserve for my own use, 1 water mill now on Eagleton, and 4 acres of land adjoining thereto, to be laid off as I shall direct. Signed Sep 23, 1751 - Saml (S his mark) Love.
