      At the request of John Brown of CC, mariner, the following [lease] was recorded Mar 11,,1725.
      Sep 13, 1725 from Dan: Jenifer of CC, Gent, and Eliza, his wife, to John Brown of CC, mariner, for 5 , the lease of the house that is now standing by Portobacco Road, with about 2 acres of land, by computation, viz, bounded by Earlys oak, the main road. To have and to hold, the house and land, until his son-in-law, Rodham Rogers, shall arrive to the age of 21 years. The yearly rent is 30 shillings on each Dec 25 (next Dec 25 excepted). The sd Daniel and :Eliza hereby allow the sd John and Mary, his wife, to suffer them to have firewood and pasturage for a horse or mare and a calf. If John wants to make any further repairs or to :build necessary small houses, he may use timber trees that are on the north side of the run whereon Mr. Robt Hanson's mill now stands.
