Subject: [MDSTMARY] Cager/Kedger family of Saint Mary's

Subject of query: Dorothy (Cager) Monroe, daughter of Robert Cager/Kedger and wife of George Monroe.

Robert Cager/Kedger came to Saint Mary's before 1637. His 400 acre freehold on the North East Branch of the Herring Creek, called Ichcomb's Freehold, bounding on the west with Herring Creek.

Robert Cager's wife is listed as Dorothy and so was their daughter in his will. In his will it states that daughter Dorothy is the wife of George Monroe.

There is a belief that the daughter Dorothy married first George Monroe and then William Jones. Their is proof of a daughter Ann Jones, who married Samuel Brashear and her parents are named as William and Dorothy Jones.
I understand someone joined a lineage society around 1920 who claimed Ann (Jones) Brashear, wife of Samuel Brashear is the daughter of Dorothy (Cager) Jones and William Jones.

*My question is: Has anyone found proof that Robert Cager's Dorothy married William Jones?* I would like to see proof of this claim that Dorothy, the daughter of Robert Cager and the wife of George Monroe did indeed marry a second time to William Jones.
