      Note:
      Sandy died while on a trip downriver in Missouri. He was buried where he died,
      which is unknown, but his father-in-law, Benjamin Stephens Jr went to Missouri to bring back his body. Benjamin also became sick & died. After a period of several months, the bodies of both men were brought back to Boone Co for burial.

      Sandy was a farmer near Rabbit Hash, but like his older brothers, spent time on the river also. At one time he helped operate the ferry.

      His widow outlived him 16 years & never remarried. Their 5 children grew up with the large family of David & Minerva Ryle.
