      In the name of God Amen, I Jacob Latimer of Charles County and State of Maryland,
      I give and bequeath unto my well beloved wife Judith Lattimer, during her natural life or until marriage all the land I hold or claim right to on the west side of the road that leads from W Samuel Harrison to Zachiah Chapple, called Chapple of Care, and likewise to have liberty on the on the other tract of my land to get firewood … and after all my just debts are paid and satisfied it is my will that my said wife shall have the use of one third tract of all my personal estate during the...
      Item. I give and bequeath my well beloved daughter Cloe Douglas, one Negro girl named Linda which she now has in her possession.
      Item. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son Randolph Brandt Latimer all the lands I hold or claim rights to that lies on the east side of the road above likewise the land I have willed to my wife after her death or marriage, likewise one negro lad named Hendlay & one Negro boy named Sam to him and his heirs forever.
      Item. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son William Latimer fifty pounds monies to be paid after my wife decease.
      Item. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son Mark Latimer five shillings.
      Item. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son Samuel Latimer five shillings
      Item. It is my will that the remainder of my personal estate shall be equally divided between my son Thomas Latimer and Randolph Brandt Latimer also it is my will that the land tract of my personal estate that I have willed unto my wife shall be equally divided between my said sons Thomas and Randolph Brandt after my said wife decease or marriage, to them and their Heirs forever and I hereby constitute and appoint my well beloved wife and my well beloved son Randolph Brandt Latimer whole and sole executive and executor of this my last Will & Testament.       To wife Chloe Douglass, the use of all my real and personal estate during her natural life or until marriage whichever may first happen and then divided among all my children (not named in will).
      It is my desire that the land I am possessed of lying near lower Cedar Point be disposed of and the money arising from the sale be put out to interest for the support of my wife and children provided the interest exceeds the annual rent thereof of which I desire and request my friend Randolph Brandt Latimer of the city of Annapolis to judge.

      Court Proceeding for Marriage - LATIMER, William - Indenture, 28 March 1782, Elizabeth City County, Virginia., between William Latimer and Euphan Marshall (widow of James Marshall, deceased). ......"a marriage is suddenly intended to be solemnized between and entered into by the said William Latimer and Euphan Marshall. The said William Latimer doth hereby renounce all claim and demand whatsoever to any part of the Estate of the said Euphan Marshall and doth confirm the same to her and her Heirs for ever, to be disposed of as she chooses at any time hereafter by writing or otherwise, and the said William Latimer doth further covenant and agree that he will board the Children of the said Euphan without any charges whatsoever."       23 Jan 1794 Thomas Latimer said to be of Loudoun County in the Commonwealth of VA purchased land in Prince George’s County, MD by Deed from John Simpson for the sum of two hundred seventy five pounds of current money a tract or parcel of land called Locust Thicket bordering Elizabeth Alders Part of Locust Thicket containing 124 acres. Also all the part of Locust Thicket said John Simpson purchased of a certain George Alder containing four acres together with the houses buildings fencing orchard and improvements. Signed in the presence of C L Hamilton, James Henderson and Philip Briscoe.

      At the request of John Laidler the following deed was recorded the 17th day of August anno domino 1809. This Indenture made this seventeenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine between Thomas Latimer of Prince Georges County in the state of Maryland of the one part and John Laidler of Charles County in the state aforesaid of the other part. To (tnefseth?) that whereas the said Thomas Latimer by a degree of the high court of Chancery (?) at February term eighteen hundred and seven appointed trustee for the purpose of selling and conveying the real estate of Joseph Douglas late of Charles County deceased and as trustee having among other lands offered and exposed to public sale the three following tracts or parcels agreeable to the directions of the said degree to wit, two parts of a tract or parcel of land called Brands Discovery and one other tract or parcel of land called Stumpdale
