      I, John Ford of CC being poor health of body but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding
      To wife Elizabeth Ford the whole of my real estate, except one third part of a tract of land called Laurel Branch during her life and after her decease, to my son Philip Key Ford (except as before excepted) the whole of my estate being part of a tract of land called Hull whereon I now dwell, part of another tract called Laurel Branch and part of another tract called Friendship, this last part of tract containing two hundred and seventy six acres, three rod and eleven perches of land I purchased of John B. Lambeth who has assigned to me. Walter Hanson and Henry Barnes bond to him for the legal conveyance of it. If my son Philip Joy Ford and the heirs of his boy dies w/o heir and before 21yrs, the tract Hull to daughter Ann Latimer and the part of Laurel Branch to daughter Penelope Beale, and the part of the tract Friendship to be equally divided between daughters Ann Latimer and Penelope Beale.
      To my son in law, Charles Beale one third part of land called Laurel Branch which I purchased of Robert Brown to be laid off parallel with the North East line of the original tract.
      To wife Elizabeth Foard, the use of negros, Jacob, Nace, Dick, Frank, Moll and Joe and after her decease Jacob, Frank and Moll to son Philip Joy Ford, Nace to daughter Penelope Beale, and Dick to daughter Ann Latimer.
      To son Philip Joy Ford, (negros) Stare, Else, Hannah, Charles, John, Jacob, Gusty, Dorah, Nancey, Keziah and Anne and their increase.
      To daughter Penelope Beall the use of negros, Dark, Harry, Deck, Moll, Joe and Mary Frazier and after her decease, equally to her children
      To daughter Ann Latimer the use of negros, Patt, Harry, Hester, Eley and Beall, and after her decease, equally to her children
