      To all to whom .. Know ye therefore that I JOHN WOOD of Charles County in province of Maryland being seized of 2960 acres of land as of fee lying in Stafford County in Colony of Virga. E. between ye branches of Pooles Run S Neighapasco which land I formerly purchased of HENRY WALKER & afterwards renewed the said Walkers pattent in the Honble Proprietors office as will and may more largely appear by a pattent bearing date 13th day March anno 1695 for divers good causes but more especially in consideration that EDWD. WILLIAMS did marry MARY my daughter & for the natural affection 1 bear to my daughter have given unto Edwd. Williams 400 acres of land it being part of the tract abovesd & in the county aforesd & bounded .. beginning at a marked white oak standing in the East side of Walkers old field & extending thence NNE 200 poles to a corner tree thence WNW=23 poles then SSW: 200 poles then ESE 320 poles to the first beginning .. this 12th day Decr. 1705.

      Know all men .. that I Edward Williams within mentioned & Mary my wife do hereby make over & assign all our right Title & Interest in the deed of gift & also the land within mentioned unto Mr. WM. LOCK of the same county & province as is within specified .. it being for the valuable consideration of Eight thousand pounds of tobo in hand already paid or secured to be paid .. this 10th day of July 1706.
