      Notes for JOHN CHUNN, JR.:
      In a deed in Charles County, Maryland, dated March 11 1734, John Chunn, Jr. "in consideration of my deceased father's request" grants land to his brothers, Joseph Chunn, Benjamin Chunn, and Andrew Chunn. He refers to an agreement with his brother Samuel Chunn. He reserves his father's "burying place and twenty feet square about it." (Records of Charles C., Md.       Aug 13, 1748 from Samuel Chunn of CC, Gentleman, by virtue of a power of attorney from Gilbert and Elizabeth Simpson in Fairfax County, Virginia, to James Nivison, merchant in CC, a certain tract of land, being part of a tract of land called St Thomas, lying in CC on the west side of Piles' Fresh, containing about 158 acres, and in consideration of 1500 lbs tobacco to them in hand paid. Whereas by virtue of a deed from John Llellan (Lewellan, Luellan) of Saint Maries County, Gentleman, to Samuel Chunn of CC, dated [blank month and day], 1739 and recorded in CC on Apr 13 then following, sd Samuel Chunn, Susannah Chunn, his wife, and the sd Accuilla Chunn, his son, and the longest liver of them during the term of their natural lives, stands possessed of a certain messuage and tenement of land in CC, being part of a tract of land called Westwood manor, now let out to and occupied by William Leach of CC, containing 154 acres, with the several privileges, advantages, and appurtenances in the recited [lease] mentioned, and in another relative deed between the afd John Lavallen of St. Mary's County and Samuel Chunn of CC, dated Sep 5, 1738 and recorded as afd on the 8th day of sd Sep following, sd tenement being burdened an annual rent of 1000 lbs of merchantable tobacco in one cask and of 200 otherways with 3 shillings sterling payable to sd John Leullan of St Mary's County, and whereas sd Acquilla Chunn is now the only surviving person of those specified in these deeds and invested with a life rent lease and possession of sd tenements of land, in consideration therefore of 16,000 lbs of crop inspected tobacco to sd Acquilla Chunn by the afd John Macpherson, and other motives him thereunto moving, he, sd Acquilla Chunn has assigned, from today, to sd John Macpherson, his full right and title to possession of the afd messuage and tenement of land above mentioned during the full term of his own natural life.
