      Will of AMBROSE FARLON. .. and as for my grandson WILLIAM SHEATS to him Estate in hand I do give & bequeath it .. to my daughter MARY SHEATS half a crown .. to my son in law CORNELIUS SHEATS one shilling .. to my man servant GARRARD BURN one yearling heifer .. to my dear & loving wife all my personal estate both within doors and without ..       pp. 156 IN THE NAME OF GOD Amen. I ROBERT KINGE of Stafford County in Virginia being sick & weake of Body, but of perfect sounde sen ce & memory Blessed be God I doe make & appoint this my Last Will & Testament Revokeinge all former Wills &Testaments by me heretofore made
      Imprimis I bequeath my Soull to Almighty God who gave it hopeinge that through ye merits of Jesus Christ to enjoy ye blessings prepared for all faithfull beleavers Secondly my body to ye Earth from whence it came to be buried att ye Discretion of my Exors. hereafter named in decent &Christian burial! & for what earth bey Estate it hath please Allmighty God to Endow me withall I give as hereafter followeth
      Thirdly I give to my Eldest Son GEORGE & my next Eldest Sonne ROBERT KINGE all that tract of land tnowne by ye name of ye FORREST PLANTACON it beinge equally devided betweene ye said GEORGE KINGE and ROBERT KINGE both in quantity and quality Fourthly I give to my Sonne JOSEPH KINGE & BENJAMIN KINGE all that tract of land that I now live on it beinge about Three hundred and Seventy acres of Untie lc the said Land to be equally divided betweene ye said JOSEPH & BENJAMIN KINGE JOSEPH to have that part known by the name of KINGS (faded) Grounds & adjoyninge to AMBROSE FARLOW & BENJAMIN to have that part where I now live
      fifthly I give to (faded) WILLIAM BOWLINGE & JOHN BOWLINGE & ROBERT BOWLINGE a Tract of lande lyeinge attye head of (faded) Creeke running wth lande I bought of THOMAS REVETT & EDWARD HUMSTON the said lande to be equally divided between ye before menconed BOWLINGEs & is Three thousand acres belonginge to me and ye whole Tract of lande is Twelve thousand acres & it extended it selfe from ye Branch of POTOMACK RUNNE to ye branches of OCQUIA CREEKE, HENRY MEREST & ANTHONY BUCKNER have ye remaininge part of ye said Tract of lande
      Sixthly I give to my Daughter SARAH KINGE & HANNAH KINGE all that tract of land Iyeing att a place knowne by ye name of ....STONE in WESTMORELAND COUNTY Between my Plantation called KINGS QUARTER and HENRY BERRYs upon HOLEs his Road ye said Lands to be equally divided betweene ye said SARAH KING & HANNAH KINGE
      Seventhly I give to my Daughter ANNE HOLE another Tract of lands adjoynninge to ye last tract of land upon HOLES has Road it being the nearmost tract towards RAPPAHANNOCK & the said Lande to her ye said ANNE HOLE after her decease to her Daughter HANNAH HOLE &her heires_
      Eightly I give to my Loveinge Wife MARY KINGE a tract of land wch I bought of ALEXANDER BOYNINGE it being Two hundred and forty acres lyeinge upon HUNTING CREEKE.
      Ninthly I give my Loveing Friende JOHN BREWTON & RICHARD AYLIFF both one tract of lande lyeinge between NIAPSCOE MERRIUMPSCO CREEKE that I formerly seated adjoyninge upon ye lands of MARTIN SCARLETT said Land to be equally divided betweene ye, said JOHN BREWTON & RICHARD AYLIFF both in quantity and quality. Tenthly & lastly I give unto my Loveing Wife MARY KINGE all ye remaininge parte of my Estate both personal &Real] and I doe appoint ye said MARY KINGE my Wife to bee my whole & sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament to see ye same pformed after all my just debts are paid.       STAFFORD COUNTY VA DEED & WILL BOOK 1699 - 1709; THE ANTIENT PRESS pp. 256-257 MARGARET LADY CULPEPER, THOMAS LORD FAIRFAK and CATHERINE his wife Pro prietors of the Northern Neck of Virga. .. Whereas Captain WILLIAM JONES of Northumberland County suggested to our office on the first of Febry last that there was 5200 acres of land lying in Stafford and Westmoreland county formerly granted to JERVICE DODSON by Pattent dated the 16th day Sept. 1695 which did Escheat to us from said Dodson for want of heirs or making any legal disposition thereof and whereupon the same was certified unto the Court of Stafford according to the rules of the office & it since being made appear to our office that one ANDREW PEDIGREE who intermarried with ISABELLA the widow of the said Dodson repattented the said 5200 acres of land in his own name & together with his wife Isabella made sale thereof to ROBERT HOWSON of county Stafford who also sold most of the land in parcells to sundry persons & whereas JOSEPH KING of county Stafford Son & heir of ROBERT KING deced Sets forth that he is in possession of 185 acres of the land given to him by the will of his Father who bought the same of Robert Howson & moving to be preferred to the escheat of the sd 185 acres Know Ye therefore that we & in consideration of the composition to us paid & the annual Rent hereafter reserved have granted unto JOSEPH KING all the Right & Title of the 185 acres of lend to us belonging or appurtainirg by virtue of the said Escheat the said land lying on South side the beaver darn & bounded .. beginning at the head of upper Machotick Creek Beginning at the upper end of the Cabbin ffield running about a small branch & so running to corner marked tree thence NE upon the line of RICHD ALIFFE. to the Dam .. to have and hold said 185 acres paying to us yearly on the Feast of Saint Michael the Archangel_ the fee rent of. one shilling sterling money for every fifty acres of land hereby granted .. this 11th day of Jany 1704.

FITZHUGH of county Stafford fifty four acres of land part of the within 185 acres of land lying and being in Stafford County and bounded be-ginning at a marked hickory thence down that line along the line ot AMBROSE FARLOW to Mr. PHILIP ALEXANDERS line along that line to continue the quantity of. 54 acres of land and thence over to the line of RICHD.
