      Dec 3, 1741 from Alice Drury of PG, widow of Charles Drury, late of PG, decd, to Francis King of PG, planter. Sd Charles Drury, in his lifetime, owned the land hereafter mentioned, and in his will, declared that he wanted the land he had sold to sd Francis King to be made over to him, sd King, by Alice Drury, his executrix, on sd Francis King paying the rest of 3000 lbs of tobacco, being the consideration by them agreed on, as by the will, proved and recorded in the Prerogative Court of Maryland, and afterwards died. And whereas sd Francis King has paid the 3000 lbs of tobacco, this deed further witnesses that the sd Alice Drury, for 375 lbs of tobacco paid to her since the death of the sd Charles Drury, has granted to sd Francis King, a parcel of land, part of Essex Lodge, bounded by the NE side of a Great Branch near the main road, thence to Mattapany Branch, containing and laid out for about 60 acres.       Indenture made February 7, 1755; Alice Ingland in consideration of the third part of the corn that Leonard Gates makes the ensuing year has demised granted and by these presents doth let unto him the dwelling house he now lives in with half the apple trees, plantation and the lands belonging excepting the part William Ford now lives on and that which lays on the branch on the south side of the plantation next to Charles Boteler, Jr. and also Alice Ingland for the above payment is to lend the said Gates two plow horses with plow and plow harnesses.
