      Memorandum that on the special petition of Richard Pile and Francis Pile preferred to the justices of Prince George's County, Maryland on the 4th Tuesday in June in the 2nd year of his Lordship commission the Right Hon. the Lord Proprietary Dominion etc., his Lordship commission issued by order of the justices aforesaid out of the county aforesaid on the 3rd day of July Anno Domini 1753. In these words following, Frederick Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Province of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore Vizt; to Messrs John Addison, George Fraser, Zachariah Wade and Robert Wade, Sr., of PGCo gentleman, whereas Richard Pile and Francis Pile are seized of part of "Hunter's Folly" and preferred their petition in writing to our county court held at Upper Marlborough Town before Peter Dent gentleman and his associates then and still justices within our county to examine evidence to prove and perpetuate the memory of the bounds of the said tracts of land. Therefore, we command you any three or two of you to examine all witnesses or persons concerned touching their knowledge of the bounds of the said tracts. Witness Henry Truman, gent, June 24, 1752.       Thomas Wilcoxon, Sr., aged about 57 being sworn declares that John Dickeson [also Dickinson/ Dickenson], late deceased, about 38 years ago showed him this oak that was the last tree of Hunter's land and here the commissioners order a post to be put up.       John Palmer, Jr., aged 43 years being sworn declares about 13 years ago he was showed the Spanish oak (but now down) by John Langham the 3rd, late deceased, and he was shown it by his uncle John Dickeson to be the beginning tree of Hunter's folly and their the commissioners orders post to be put up.
