norma: think you will find that John Turton was married to the daughter of Francis and Elizabeth Semmes. Francis died sometime after a Sep 19, 1733 deed to his daughter Catherine and Elizabeth died before 7 Apr 1750 when her will was probated. She named a daughter that the transcriber mis-read as "Catrine Tusten" and another named "Dority Gaff" which I think was the wife of the James Gough who shows up on the 1758 tax list. Catherine doesn't, by the way, that I could spot, anyway.

She may be the daughter of Francis Simms born abt 1711 by elizabeth who died abt 1750
