      Indenture made April 6, 1753; Joseph Belt son of John Belt of Frederick County, Maryland, planter and Ann Belt his wife in consideration of 40 pounds sterling money paid by George Gordon, gentleman has sold part of a tract called "Gleaning" containing 100 acres lying on Goose Creek, beginning at the line of John Pearce's land. Signed Joseph Belt, Ann Belt in the presence of Daniel Carroll, Benjamin Young, Jr., and acknowledged before Benjamin Young and at the same time Ann Belt wife of John Belt relinquished her right of dower.
