      Subject: Re: Fw: William Boon

It appears that the marriage of William Boon to Elizabeth Arnold is an error
originally listed in "Wrens of Virginia 1652-1832" by John Howard Wren,Salt
Lake City,Utah 1993. The wrens were early owners of land around Gingoteaque Swamp.

Elizabeth Arnold was abt. 14 yrs.younger than William Boon,Sr. and abt. 14
yrs. older than William Boon, Jr. Unlikely to be the bride of either!

In 1772 George Arnold sold 90 acres to William Boon, Sr.,which became the
nucleus of Poplar Grove. Later William added to and sold off portions of
      land around Gengoteaque Creek.

In 1777 Elizabeth Arnold was deeded 13 acres adjacent to Gengoteque Swamp,
witnessed by William Boon, William Green, Jemima Arnold and others.

In 1780 John Wren sold 50 acres adjoining William Boon.

In 1783 Elizabeth Arnold sold 8 acres to Aaron Thornley.

In 1806 Aaron Thornley bought the now 390 acre Poplar Grove from William
      Boon, Jr.

William Boon,Jr. married Elizabeth Hansford, another source for the name
Elizabeth Boon. William,Jr. owned lots 9&10 in the town of Conway and
      operated a store there 1791-1795.
