      THIS INDENTURE made the 3rd day of March ano Dom 1690 and in the Third year of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord and Lady William and Mary &c. Between JOHN PRICE {sic Pierce} of Parish of Farnham in County of Rappa in the Dominion of Virginia and EASTER his Wife of the one part & PETER EVANS of the Parish of Sittenburne of the County aforesd on the other part, Witnesseth that JOHN PRICE {sic Pierce} and EASTER his Wife for the full sum of Nine thousand pounds of good sound and merchantable Tobb. in good caske to them well and truely pd. do hereby sell unto the sd EVANS his heirs Two hundred and forty acres of land situate and being in Sittenburne Parish in Rappa County being part of a Patent of Two thousand acres of land granted to Lieut, Colo. HENRY FLEET dated 25th day of August ano dom 1657 and by him lapsed and granted to WALTER GRANGER by Patent dated the 25th of March 1661, and by the sd GRANGER sold to Col JOHN WALKER by Assignmt. of the sd GRANGERs dated 20th day of May 1662, and One thousand of the Two thousand given by Will of the sd Colo, JOHN WALKER unto the sd EASTER the now Wife of the sd JOHN PRICE {sic Pierce} , the sd Two hundred & forty acres of land being part of the sd One thousand acres of land so given unto the sd EASTER as aforesd, the sd Two hundred and forty acres of land hereby granted is bounded Begining at a small Spanish Oake standing on the West side of RAPPACREEK being a corner tree of land belonging to the land of MATHEW BURROWS & runing along the sd BURROWs line West to a Stake in the back line of the sd 2000 acres of land, thence alonge the sd back line North East Stake or post in the sd line, thence South East crossing a Pocoson by the sd Creek to the sd Creek, then down sd Creek its severall courses to the begining and also all houses orchards gardens and in closures together with all profitts and appertinants belonging To have and to hold the sd Two hundred and forty acres of land and all the premises unto PETER EVANS their heirs and assigns from henceforth & forever subject nevertheless unto the quitrents henceforth shall grow

      - PEIRCE, WILLIAM Order for removall from MARSON, WILLIAM PIERCE, a Minor Son of JOHN PEIRCE, late of RICHMOND County, Gentleman, deced., and Grandson of WILLIAM PEIRCE, late of this County, Gentleman, deced., moveing this Court for liberty to chuse a Guardian and makeing choice of a person who lived out of this county, and who also in this Court's oppinion was himself a Minor it was not thought fitt to admitt the same, And for that it also appeared by the Last Will and Testament of his deceased Grand Father aforesaid that hee was principall Legatee in the same and that hee and one Mr. THOMAS MARSON were appointed Executors of the sd. Will, and that the said WILLIAM dureing his minority should bee brought upp and educated by the sd. MARSON. It was thought fitt the sd. WILLIAM to continue with him, &c., But upon further Heareing in the matter it appeareing the sd. MARSON to bee much deficient in the trust reposed in him by the said Testator in relacon to his the said WILLIAM's maintenance and educacon the Court have thought fitt to remove him and doe hereby order that WILLIAM PEIRCE bee forthwith removed and placed under the care and tuition of NATHANIEL POPE, JUNR. who hath intermarried with one of the Daughters of the aforesd. WILLIAM PEIRCE, deced., and accept to him the said WILLIAM which said NATHANIEL hath now in Court undertaken and assumed upon himself for the maintenance and educacon of the said Orphant suitable to his quality and Estate, And to doe his endeavour tht hee bee instructed in all good literature and it is also further ordered that Mr. THOMAS MARSON bee annually accountable to and pay the said POPE all such necessary and reasonable charge, disbursment and discounts as hee the said NATHANIEL shall moderatly expend and disburse in and about the sd. WILLIAM's maintenance
      and educacon as above, And that the sd. MARSON bee reimbursed the same on the makeing upp of his Account with the Testator's Estate

      - ELIZABETH GALLEY, Administrx. of JOHN GALLEY deced, brought her action in this Court against JOHN PEIRCE as Marrying HEASTER, the Admstrx, of ROBT. TOMLIN JUNR. deced, and declared that the sd JOHN in his life time did put into the hands of the sd ROBERT severall Debts to collect amounting to Ten thousand one hundred seventy foure pounds of tobb: as by List thereof under the hand of the sd ROBERT may appears; And that the sd ROBERT in his life time did receive all the sd Debts or the quantity part thereof without accounting therefore and craves Judgmt. wth: costs; The Deft, pleades the Respective Acts of Limitation Vizt., the Act entitled Accts: against Dead Mens Estates and the Act Accounts how long pleadable and further offered to deliver all papers that are or shall come to his hand belonging to the sd GALLEY; which plea this Court have over ruled and do order that the sd JOHN PEIRCE Qualifyed as aforesd. do pay unto the sd ELIZABETH GALLEY the sd Ten thousand One hundred seventy foure pounds of Cobb. either in speciialty or by return of the sd Bills, Noates &c. in kinde with cost of suit

      WHEREAS there was by us the under menconed parties joyntly purchased of Mr. JOHN PEIRCE and HESTER his Wife, a parcell of Land conteyning by survey 267 acres lying in Rappa: & on the Westward side of RAPPA: CREEK, the moyety of the said Land properly belonging to each of us, wee do by these presents acknowledge that wee are fully satisfied wth: our proporconable parts layed out & divided by Mr. EDWIN CONWAY according to a Line running from a Stake in JONAH WILSONs line South 88 degrees E. to the Creeke. This devision being made the 2d of Febry: 1692 (vizt.) the South Westward & Westward part of the said Land from the deviding line properly belongs to MORGAN WILLIAMS his heirs Executrs Admstrs: & assign es forever; the Southeastward part of the said Land from the deviding line properly belongs to WILLIAM STEWARD his heirs Executrs. Admistrs. or assignes forever.
