      The Last Will and Testament of SAMUELL BAYLY, late of this County, deced., was proved by the Oathes of CHARLES BARBER and THOMAS LEWIS, witnesses thereto, and upon the motion of the Executors therein named, a Probat is granted them of the said Will and it is further ordered that they return an Inventory of the Estate and make Oath thereto
      BAYLY's_Estate to be appraised.
      DAVID BARRICK, STANLEY GOWER, EDWARD JONES and ROBERT TOMLIN or any three of them, being first sworn before a Justice of the Peace of this County, are appointed to appraise the Estate of SAMUELL BAYLY, deced., and make report thereof to the next Court when the Executors is to produce the Inventory of the Estate and make Oath thereto

      HIS INDENTURE made the fifth of November Ano Dom 1689 Between SAMLL. BAYLEY of County of Rappa of one part and JAMES MATHEWS of County aforesd of other part Witnesseth that sd SAMLL. BAYLEY have bargained and sold unto JAMES MATHEWS his heirs all that parcel! of land conteyning one hundred acres being in the Freshes of Rappa and on the North side thereof neer a small Creek called CHINGATEAGUE begining at a small Hickory tree to PHILLIP HUNNINGS and extending thence N. to a black Oake corner tree to JOHN EASTER, thence E. crossing the Mane Run of CHINGATEAGUE to a Stake by a Spanish Oake, thence S. to a saplin red Oake, thence W. to the first menconed Hickery being some two miles back in the woods, all which being for satisfaction to me in hand paid whereof I hold myself fully satisfied and do further warrant the sale of the aforesd tract from me the cc!
