      - BE IT KNOWN unto all men by these presents that I THOMAS MUSE of the Parish of Washington in County of Westmoreland, Planter, as well in consideracon of the love and affecon which I bear unto my two Sons, THOMAS MUSE & CHRISTOPER MUSE. and for preventing any controversie that may happen or arise after my death as also for the Rent herein after menconed, have demised & to farm lett unto THOMAS MUSE, JUNR. all that the full quantity of fifty acres of land be the same more or less now in the tenure & occupation of my Eldest Son JOHN MUSE, being that parcell of land which I purchased of my Brother, JOHN MUSE, deced as by Deeds of Lease & Release dated the twenty eighth day of July in the year one thousand seven hundred and eighteen on the Records of said County may appear; the land scituate in the Parish & County aforesaid and bounded; Begining at a little Hiccory by the Road side, so down a Valley to the head of a Branch to a marked black Gum, includeing all the land between that Branch & my line, Together with all houses orchards. priviledges & appurtenances belonging: To have and to hold the tract of land with appurtenances to my Son, THOMAS MUSE and his assignes dureing his natural life and after his decease unto my Son, CHRISTOPHER MUSE his heirs under the Rents limitations & provisoes as are menconed & contained in the Lease from Coll. WILLIAM FITZHUGH and unto my Brother, JOHN MUSE from whom I purchased the same; Provided nevertheless that my Son, JOHN MUSE, notwithstanding any matter or clause menconed or containined in these presents shall quietly possess & enjoy the land and premisses dureing my natural life without the hindrance of THOMAS & CHRISTOPHER MUSE: they paying therefore unto my assigns yearly at the Feast of the Nativity of our Lord Christ, the Rent of two hundred and seventy five pounds of tobacco on this Plan tacon & land above demised; In Witness whereof I the said THOMAS MUSE have hereunto sett my hand & affixed my seal the day & year first above written
