      To all people .. I WILLIAM JETT of parish Hanover in county King George send greeting. Know Ye .. in consideration of the natural love and affection which I bear to my son WILLIAM JETT JUNR. & for his advancement in the world and in consideration of the sum of Fifty pounds curt. money of Virginia .. sell that parcel of land in parish Hanover and county King George containing 170 acres which said land William Jett purchased of JOHN JETT as by deeds of lease and release bearing dates 30th April and first day May 1741 ..

      In the Deeds of Loudoun County one can find the following from a Deed dated 9/10 June 1769. between JOHN LANE and CATHERINE his Wife, being part of a tract of land given by Capt. WILLOUGHBY NEWTON to WILLIAM JETT and CATHERINE JETT his Wife, now CATHERINE LANE, having since the decease of WILLIAM JETT intermarried with JOHN LANE;
      And also in a Deed dated 12/13 June 1769; between JOHN LANE and KATHERINE his Wife land devised to KATHERINE by the Last Will and Testament of WILLOUGHBY NEWTON, late of the County of Westmoreland, deceased, in the following words, "I give and devise unto my Daughter, CATHERINE LANE,"

      Anne Jett, daughter of William Jett who died in Loudoun County, 1762.

      Peter Jett was executor of the estate of Catherine Jett (d. 1787) of Westmoreland Co.

      Codicil 6 January 1767 - Grandson Willoughby, son of John who has died since the making of this will;

      Betty widow of son John.William Jett to his son, William Jett, Jr., 100 acres in King George County, part of a tract of land bought from George White, 1759.

      Indenture made 15th July 1762 between KATHARINE JETT relict of WILLIAM JETT late of county Louden and THOS HODGE of county King George .. Whereas said William in his life time and the said Katharine then his wife by their deeds of lease and release dated 10th & 11th May 1762 conveyed to Thomas Hodge 88-1/4 acres ., whereas Katharine had no opportunity to acknowledge said deed before (her husband's) death which happened Soon after the Execution of said Deeds .. Now This Indenture Witnesseth that said KATHARINE JETT for sum Ten shillings .. has granted Thomas Hodge all the Dower & Thirds .. in said tract of land ..
