      In the Name of God Amen. I Samuel REEDS of King George County being sick and weak but of perfect sense and memory thanks to mighty God for the same, hoping to have a joy full resurrection my desire is to be buried in a Christian manner by my executors hereafter names, as touching my worldly estate that it hath pleased Almighty God to Bless me with do leave as followeth, vix
      Item: I give to my loving son Samuel Reeds my young horse called Spark and my saddle and bridle.
      Item My desire is such that my loving wife Gale (Jael) Reed is to keep all the rest of my estate in her hands during her natural life, then to be equally divided amongst my three children, Samuel reeds, Gale Reeds, and Mildred Reeds, my desire is that my loving son in law William Underwood and my wife Jale Executors of this my last will and Testament revoking all other wills by me made.

      Unto my son in law Robert Pain one gold ring of 15 s. price.
      Unto my daughter Moneca Pain one gold ring of the same price and 5. current money to buy her a sute of mourning and the best feather bed upstairs and his furniture and half of my plate.
      If my son James Sheppey should die before he comes to the age of eighteen years, my cozin Jealy Underwood shall have ten pounds current out of my part of my estate and ten pounds to my cozn Mary Powell and ten pounds to my cozen Eliza Hackley.
      One article more that is my daughter Pain 6 head of cattle, to wit two cows, 2. calves and two young cattIe
      All the rest of my estate unto my loving son James Sheppey. Make him executer,
      My ,son James Sheppey may at my death have all my estate in his hands, and to be of perfect age and at his own disposing.
      I humbly beg and request the favour of Capt. Salvat Muscoe, Gent., if he pleases to assist my son ifhe should have occasion in the manageing of his business in his minority which I hope he will take it into his mercifull compassionate consideration if occasion should be to assist a poor orfaint and I hope that God will reward him for it, and humbIe desire the same of Mr James Bouth and my son Mr. Robert Pain.
