      John Minor
      In the name of God, Amen the thirteenth day of September one thousand seven hundred and forty eight, I JOHN MINOR of Coply Parish in County of Westmorland, Planter, being very sick & weake of body but of perfect mind & memory thankes be given to god therefore, calling to mind the uncertainty of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to dye, do make this my Last Will and Testamt., that is to say, principally & first of all I give & recomend my Soul into the hands of God that give it & my Body I recomend to the Earth to be buryed in a decent Christian buryal at the discretion of my Exors., nothing doughting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God & as touching such worldly Estate wherewth: it hath pleased God to bless me wth in this life, I give devise & dispose of the same in the following manner and form;
      Item It is my will that all my Estate be kep together as it formerly was in my life time to bring up my Children at the discretion of my Exors. hereafter named & it further is my will that at my Wife's death, my Estate, what of its left, after bringing up my Children, be equally divided amongst them. I likewise appoint my beloved Wife, MARY MINOR, my Father in Law, JOHN BARNETT, & my beloved Friend John Stowers, Exors. of this my Last Will & Testamt. ratifying & confirming this & noe other to be my Last Will & Testamt. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day & year above written.
