      - Whereas JOHN FEILD was bounde over to appeare at this Court by Coll. JOHN CARTER to answer the complaint of EDWARD WALDER for haveing abused Ann, the Daughter of the said WALDER, by calleing her whore & saying hee would prove her one, And the said FEILD impudently affirmeing the same before this Court, avereing that hee did committ the filthy Sin of fornicacon with the said ANN, the Daughter of the said WALDER, this Court conceiveing the said FEILD his impudent assertion of the same to bee by him enviously and maliciously invented to defame and ruine the reputacon and credit of the said ANN, doe therefore order the Sheriffe of this County to take ye said FEILD into his Custody and give him thirty lashes well layd on his bare backe as a punishmt. justly due to him for his aforesd. impudent villaney
