      To all persons .. ANN BRONAUGH of county of Fairfax sendeth greeting.
      Whereas JEREMIAH BRONAUGH, Father of said Ann, did in his life time give Ann a negro girl and whereas the said Jeremiah sometime after died intestate possessed of a considerable personal estate leaving five children, vizt. William his eldest son and heir, Mary, the said Ann, Elizabeth and John, and whereas the said negro together with a Sucking child she then had was at the death of Jeremiah & in the Infancy of Ann Bronaugh by mistake appraised as part of the estate of said Jeremiah at Forty pounds current money and whereas the said negro hath four children now living .. Now Know ye that Ann Bronaugh in consideration of natural love and affection .. and in consideration that William Bronaugh hath confirmed my title to the said Slave and children and likewise to prevent all disputes .. do relinquish all my share of my Father's personal estate to William Bronaugh to be by him equally divided between the said Brothers and Sisters .. on condition Mary, Elizabeth and John shall not demand of William Bronaugh any part of the Forty pounds current money which said negro and her child were appraised ..

Know ye I William Bronaugh in consideration of natural love and affection I bear my sister, Ann, and in consideration of Ann having given up her share of her Fathers personal estate exclusive of said slaves .. have granted the said Ann the said slaves ..       This Indenture Tripartite made the third day of June 1767 between WILLIAM WAITE & JANE his wife of Fauquire of first part WILLIAM BRONAUGH of County of Stafford of second part & JOSEPH THOMPSON of Town of Alexandria in County of Fairfax of the third part Whereas by an Indenture Tripartite made the tenth day of February 1753 between William Waite of County of Fairfax Builder of the first part William Bronaugh of the same County Gent. of second part & JANE DINWIDDIE of the said county Spinster of the third part it is thereby witnessed that for & in consideration of a marriage intended (by God's permission) to be had and solemnized between William Waite & Jane Dinwiddie as well as for & in consideration of the sum of five shillings Sterling to him in hand paid by William Bronaugh & for that a competent Jointure might be had made & provided for Jane Dinwiddie (in case the marriage should take effect) William
      Waite did grant bargain sell & confirm unto William Bronaugh all his Estate real & personal of what kind soever to be found & every part & parcel thereof with the appurtenances to & for the several uses Intents & purposes herein after mentioned limitted expressed & declared Viz. to the use & behoof of William Waite until the marriage should be had & solemnized & from & after the solemnization thereof in Trust to raise or otherwise to assure & secure the sum of four hundred pounds lawfull money of great Britain to the use & behoof of William Waite during the term of his natural life & to permit & suffer William Waite to receive & enjoy the Interest & profits thereof to his own proper use during his natural life & from & after the decease of him the said William Waite to Jane Dinwiddie his Intended wife to her & her heirs forever for her Jointure and in full satisfaction of her Dower which she might claim to have in any lands or personal estate whereof or wherein William Waite should be seized at any time during his life which Indenture was on the tenth day of February duly executed by all the parties thereto in the presence of three witnesses who attested the Execution & delivery of the same & afterwards at a Court held for the County of Fairfax on the twenty third day of March in the same year was proved by the oaths of two of the witnesses thereto & acknowledged by William Bronaugh one of the parties thereto & thereupon admitted to record as by the records of the same Court doth appear And whereas after the making & Execution of the above recited deed & heretofore to wit on the (blank) day of (blank) in the year 1750 at the County of (blank) a marriage was had & solemnized between William Waite & Jane Dinwiddie by means whereof William Bronaugh became seized in trust of all & every & parcell of the real & personal Estate of William Waite for the several uses trusts & purposes in the recited deed expressed limitted & declared Now This Indenture Witnesseth that William Waite and Jane his wife for sum one hundred pounds current money of Virginia to William Waite paid by Joseph Thompson and in consideration of sum five shillings sterling paid by Joseph Thompson upon the sealing & delivery of these presents have sold Joseph Thompson two half acres or lots of land numbered eighty two & eighty three lying in Town of Alexandria in County of Fairfax now in possession of William Waite (which two half acres or lots were purchased by William Waite
      of NATHANIEL SMITH in the year 1752 by deeds of lease & release bearing date the 14th day of October in the same year & now remaining of record in the County Court of Fairfax)

Whereas William Waite & Jane his wife by their Indenture of Feoffment sold Joseph Thompson the fee simple estate of two lots of land situate in Town of Alexandria in County of Fairfax numbered eighty two & eighty three and Whereas the said JANE cannot conveniently travel to our County Court of Fairfax to make acknowledgment of the conveyance .. receive her acknowledgment .. this 16th day of June 1767.
