      In Mason County, Kentucky DB F P 165, dated 18 Jul 1800, William Smith of Mason County, conveyed his one-third (1/3) interest in "525 acres, being part of land patented in name of _____Smith in Spotsylvania Co adjoining Fredericksburgh," to Robert Smith of Mason County, Kentucky., to have in common with Susannah and Mary Smith.

      Will of William Smith dated 23 Feb 1802, WB 2 Pages 170-174, Mason County, Kentucky, as shown in "History of Maysville and Mason County," Volume 1, (1956), by G. Glenn Clift, names wife Margaret, son Robert Smith, and daughter Anne Fook Doniphan. It also refers to daughters, Susannah (deceased), and Mary (deceased), along with their husbands, W. Anderson Doniphan and William Markham. Granddaughter Mary Doniphan is mentioned (dau of ?, maybe Anne); and granddaughter Susannah, daughter of his deceased daughter Susannah is also mentioned.
