      pp. 536-539 This Indenture made 10th July 1728 between VALENTINE PEYTON of Overwharton Parish Stafford County & JOHN PEYTON of said .. by deeds of lease & release for sum 40 pounds of good & lawfull money of Great Britain said tract being on Acquia Run in Parish & County aforesaid now in occupation of said John Peyton being 100 acres being part of Patent for 1000 acres granted to Valentine Peyton bearing date 6th June 1654 & by him conveyed to HENRY PEYTON 26th May 1657 & acknowledged in Westmoreland County Court & conveyed by Henry Peyton unto the afsd Valentine Peyton his Son by his Last Will & Testament it being the Lowest part of 200 acres of land which was to be divided equally between the said Valentine & the above mentioned John Peyton as by the said Henry Peyton last will & Testament ..

      Know all men .. I Valentine Peyton of County Stafford am bound unto John Peyton in sum of 200 pounds Sterling lawfull money of Great Britain 10th day of July 1728. The condition .. whereas said Valentine by pair of Indentures .. hath sold unto John Peyton tract on Acquia Run under several conditions .. now if Valentine do truly perform all conditions & shall also at some time betwixt the Date hereof & the ffirst day of August next lawfully acknowledge the said Indenture .. to the intent same may be recorded & especially if the Wife of said Valentine shall within the said limitted time release any demand of Dower or Joynture she has .. & said John Peyton may quietly enjoy said land discharged of all claims by virtue of Dower .. then this obligation to be void ..

      Prince William County, Virginia Deeds {Antient Press}: Liber E; 1740 - 1741; pp 87-89THIS INDENTURE made the twenty first and twenty second day of September in the year of our Lord 1740 Between VALENTINE PEYTON of Prince William County Gent. of one part and WILLIAM POWEL of the same County Gent. of other part Witnesseth that sd VALENTINE PEYTON for sum of twenty pounds Sterling have granted unto sd WILLIAM POWEL and to his heirs one hundred & fifty acxres of land in the abovesd County being upon the North end of that tract of land which sd VALENTINE PEYTON bought of THOMAS DALLICE and in a regular manner to enclose the Plantation where the sd WILLIAM POWEL now lives all which premises are now in the actual possession of him the sd WM. POWEL by virtue of one Indenture of Bargain & Sale for one year and by virtue of the Statute for transferring uses into possession all the right of him the sd VALENTINE PEYTON to the premises, In Wittness whereof the sd VALENTINE PEYTON path set his hand and affixed his Seale
