      THIS INDENTURE made the 9th day of April in the 13th year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the 2nd by the grace of God of Great Brittain France and Ireland, King, Defender of the faith &c., and in the year of our Lord God 1740,
      Between RALPH FALKNER of the Province of MARYLAND and JOHN TRIPLETT of Virginia of the Parish of Washington in County of Westmoreland of one part and JOHN PIPER of Parish & County afsd. of other part: Witnesseth that RALPH FALKNER and JOHN TRIPLETT in consideration of the sum of five shillings current money to them in hand paid by JOHN PIPER, the receipt whereof RALPH FALKNER and JOHN TRIPLETT doth hereby acknowledge, hath and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto JOHN PIPER all that parcell of land containing 250 acres. it being part of a great tract of land belonging to RALPH FALKINER and JOHN TRIPLETT by Pattent bearing date the 28th day of August 1737, scituate in Washington Parish in County of Westmoreland and is bounded. Begining at a corner marked red Oake, corner to a tract of land formerly belonging to JAMES BOWCOCK, now in possession of GEORGE MUNROE, and extending thence W. 110 po:, thence No. 30d.
