      8 March, 1682 ; CLARKE, JOAN,* 3 May, 1683.
      To my two daughters Anne Gower and Elizabeth Jacobus all my wearing apparel to be equally divided between them.

      To Stanley Gower the son of Francis and Anne Gower one cow with all her increase forever to be delivered to the said Stanley the next Spring shall be Twelve month after my decease.

      To Elizabeth Jacobus daughter of Angell Jacobus and Elizabeth that feather bed I generally used to lye upon with the bolster Rugg and two feather pillows. Also to the said daughter of Angell Jacobus one cow with all her increase for ever to be delivered the next Spring shall be twelve month after my decease. To son John Clarke all my other estate (except what is above specified) as household stuff and all other Hereditamt and all other personall Estate as slaves cattle hoggs and a horse called Button And everything else I do possess with whether debts or otherways only what I above give to my daughters and their children excepted. It is my will that my son John remove nothing from the Plantation I now live on till he comes to the age of one and twenty. I also give to my son John a Certain Tract of Land that belongeth to me of seven hundred ninety and two and one halfe (79254) acres that lyeth up-wards upon Rappeh River and nigh unto one William Sargent to him my said son and his heirs forever but if my said son should die without issue then the said tract of land to be divided between the heirs of the bodies of my two daughters Anne Gower and Elizabeth Jacobus. Appoints her son John Clarke her sole Executor. To Francis Gower son of Francis and Anne Gower one cow to be delivered the next Spring Come twelve month after my decease the weh Cow I give with its increase for Ever. This Cow is to be excepted from those Cattle I give my son John as well as the other two I gave my Grandchildren Stanley Gower and Elizabeth Jacobus. I desire my trusty and welbeloved ffriend Coil John Stone of Rapp8c County to guide and direct and counsel my son John Clarke till he Comes to ye age of one and twenty.

      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I ANGELL JACOBUS of North Farnham Parish in the County of Rappa:, Cooper, and ELIZABETH my Wife, coheire with ANN the late Wife of FRANCIS GOWRE of the sd Parish and County deced, of all and singular the lands of HENRY CLERKE of the Parish and County aforesd. deced for and in consideration of Two thousand Five hundred pounds of good sound merchantable Tobb: and caske to us in hand paid or secured to be paid by this present Charter confirmed unto the sd ROBERT WOOD One hundred and Ten acres of land with the appertinances thereunto belonging being in Sittenburne Parish in the sd County of Rappa: on the North side thereof bounding and adjoyning in part upon the lands of ELIAS WILSON and JOHN FENNER which sd One hundred and Ten acres of land is part of a tract of Four hundred acres of land which were and did belong unto the sd HENRY CLARKE deced, Father to me the aforesd. ELIZABETH, now Wife of ANGELL JACOBUS, and to me by right of Inheritance descended To have and to hold the sd Land with all its appertinances unto the sd ROBT. WOOD his heires forever of the Capitall Lord or Lords of the Fee by services due therefore and of right accustomed To the proper use of sd ROBT: WOOD his heires forever and I the said ANGELL JACOBUS and ELIZABETH my Wife and our heires the aforesd. land with its appertinances to the aforesd. WOOD against all persons whatsoever (and especially against the heires of the sd ANN and FRANS: GOWRE) will warrant and for ever defend by these presents, And Lastly I the sd ANGELL JACOBUS and ELIZABETH my Wife oblige ourselves to acknowledge these presents in the County Court of Rappa: unto sd ROBT.       THIS INDENTURE made the Seventh day of May in the yeare of our Lord God according to the Computation of the Church of England one thousand seven hundred and seven Betweene ROBERT JORDAN and ANNE his Wife of the County of Richmond of one part and JOHN FEAVER JUNR. of the County aforesd, of other
      part Wittnesseth that ROBERT JORDAN and ANNE his Wife for a valuable consideration of Five thousand pounds of tobbacco to them already received by these presents hath bargained and sold unto JOHN FAVOR JUNR. his heires all that tract of land containeing One hundred acres, being part of a Pattent granted unto Coll. JOHN HULL for One thousand four hundred acres of land beareing date the twenty third day of September 1668, and by said HULL sold and assigned over unto Mr. HENRY CLARKE, the first day of Janry. 1668; and from said CLARKE by several descents parte of the Patent become the refight by Inheritance of ANNE, now Wife of ROBERT JORDAN, the abovesaid hundred acres being part of said ANNEs part scituate within the Parish of NORTH FARNHAM in County of Richmond and bounded beginning att a marked dead red Oak standing in the Northermost line of a parcell of land belonging to ye aforesd. Patent sold by the Reverend PETER KIPPAX to JOHN CHAMP, now in the possession of ANDREW SALSBURY,
      and extending along the said line North thirty two degrees West one hundred and sixty three perches to a marked Pohickory being another corner tree to the said land, thence North East ninety perches to a Stake standing betweene two marked red Oakes about 28 foot asunder, thence South thirty four degrees East two hundred and fifteene perches to a marked red Oake. thence South seventy six degrees & a halfe West one hundred perches to the first beginning tree, including the said quantity of One hundred acres of land and all Estate right title and demand of ROBERT JORDAN and ANNE his Wife; To have and to hold the said one hundred acres of land with theire appurtenances unto JOHN FAVOR JUNR his heirs, to be holden to the Cheife Lord of the Fee of the premises by the Rents and services for the same due and of right accustomed to be paid; And ROBERT JORDAN and ANNE his Wife theire heires will warrant the lands and for ever defend by these presents and shall by themselves or Attorney att the next Court held for County of

      FRANCIS YEATS and WINNEFRED his Wife, ROBERT DAVIS and SUSANNA his Wife. all of the Parish of FARNHAM and County of Richmond of one part and ANDREW SALISBURY of the Parish and County aforesaid of other part; Wittnesseth that WM. YEATS and ELIZA his Wife, ROBERT JORDAN and ANNE his Wife, FRANCIS YEATS and WINNEFRED his Wife and ROBT. DAVIS and SUSANNA his Wife for the summa of 4800 pounds of good tobacco in cask to them in hand paid or secured to be paid by ANDREW SALSBURY by these presents do fully bargaine sell and confirme unto ANDREW SALSBURY his heires one parcell of land containeing Sixty one acres and a halfe as by a platt made by Mr. WM. MOSELEY the 5th day of March 1691 may appeare, lying on the North side of RAPPA: RIVER betweene TOTASKEY and RAPPA: CREEKE, beginning att three red Oakes in the line of THOMAS GOFFE being a corner to another parcell of land of ANGELL JACOBUS and extending thence along the said THOMAS GOFFEs line South fifty degrees West sixty perches to a red Oake corner tree of JOHN HARFORDs, and thence along said HARFORDs
      line North fifty nine degrees West eighty seven perches to a Hickory, thence North twenty five degrees West forty eight perches betweene two red Oakes, thence along the line of WILLIAM SMITH North forty six degrees East sixty six perches to a red Oake in the line of the said JACOBUS other parcell of land, thence along the same South East one hundred thirty and six perches to the first station; which land being given by ANGELL JACOBUS in his last Will and Testament unto MARY JACOBUS, his Daughter, and her
